Abstract

The Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program of the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania hosted the 2020 Asia-Pacific Virtual Think Tank Summit on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. The Summit took place in the initial stages of the pandemic and sought to highlight the crucial role of think tanks in becoming active agents in the society to assist governments and relevant stakeholders in countering the crisis. During three sessions, participants discussed the pandemic’s social, economic, health and political impact, recommendations on how to prepare for the pandemic, and a critical analysis of those recommendations.
