Introduction
Ya-Chuan Yu joined the Lauder Institute in 2005. Mr. Yu received her B.A. in Chinese Literature from National Kaohsiung Normal University in 2000 and M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006. Ms. Yu also earned her Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Marketing from The Wharton School of Business in 2008 and Certificate in Accounting & Finance in 2010. Ms. Yu's research interests focus on cross-cultural communications, intercultural competences, Chinese language and culture for business purposes, and second-language acquisitions. Ms. Yu released an online business Mandarin course, "Survival Business Chinese in 10 Days" in 2007, which emphasizes fundamental Mandarin skills and a critical understanding of cultural difference for doing business in China. In 2009, Ms. Yu co-published a book "Why a Three-Year-Old Kid Learns English Much Better Than Me? " with Dr. Yi-Jing Lin, the founder and CEO of MyET/MyCT from LLabs Inc..
