Solidarity and Social Justice

All artwork © Nadia Hafid

A silver lining to the relentless Islamophobia of the last two decades has been a growth in solidarity movements. There has been a tremendous rise in civic engagement and civil rights organizations in many countries where Muslims are a minority and Islamophobia is rampant. We highlight the movements for social justice among diverse communities around the world, from American-Sikhs in the United States to Arab youth in the Middle East and North African region. Through these modules, students will see the power of people’s movements, and what solidarity can look like.
