Abstract

Using the latest research in positive psychology, this program is designed to help couples thrive, not just survive in relationships by introducing the science of positive psychology and positive interventions designed specifically for use with couples. The facilitator’s guide includes detailed instructions for the implementation of this course to help couples habitualize the use of PPIs to make lasting changes in thoughts and behaviors to increase individual and relationship satisfaction and well-being. The course book is designed to be a working tool and artifact for the relationship. Positive psychology has yet to fully explore interventions designed specifically for couples. This course modestly endeavors to fill that gap in the intervention continuum between the individual and institutions.
