Dedicated to improving education policy, practice, and research, Penn's Graduate School of Education engages in work that informs policy deliberations at all levels of government, makes major contributions to the education research base, and provides valuable knowledge and services to practitioners and education leaders.

Programs are offered leading to the Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.), the Master of Science (M.S.), the Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.), the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.), and the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees. Our degree programs offer a range of professional preparation for those seeking to begin or advance in a career in education. The School’s programs are organized in five academic divisions — Educational Linguistics; Human Development and Quantitative Methods; Literacy, Culture, and International Education; Policy, Organizations, Leadership, and Systems; and Teaching, Learning, and Leadership.
