Abstract

The project focuses on testing the hypothesis that RAS cells can act as a progenitor for other airway epithelial cells. The methodology of the project includes using an established human embryonic stem cell (hESC) model with multiple reporter systems. A combination of immunofluorescence and quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (q-RT-PCR) will be used to test how the NOTCH pathway affects this progenitor function.
