Undergraduate Humanities Forum
Penn undergraduate students participate in the Penn Humanities Forum through an annual research fellowship program and essay contest.
Approximately twenty Undergraduate Humanities Forum Research Fellowships are awarded competitively each year to promote excellence in undergraduate research in the humanities and to cultivate the importance of humanistic thought across all disciplines. Interested candidates should be conducting work related to the Forum's theme for the year in which the award is granted. Calls for applications are solicited in February of the year preceding the fellowship.
Through its annual essay contest, the Penn Humanities Forum, in association with the Penn Library, recognizes outstanding essays on issues that address broad humanistic concerns, related to the Forum's yearly theme. Calls for Essays are announced in early Fall of each academic year, with the first-place winner presenting his or her paper at an annual symposium
