Abstract

The purpose of this capstone is to examine the conditions of teamwork and success in an Ivy League Football context. This capstone utilizes the research along with the model of Shea and Guzzo (1987) to examine predictive elements of success in relation to three categories; potency, outcome interdependence and task interdependence. The framework of this examination was developed through research and survey data as they relate to the enhanced conditions fostering team achievement. This capstone examines the results of the survey conducted across the Ivy League to find supporting data for predictors that positively impact the probability for success in athletic competition.
